Moving homes can be quite a daunting task and very heavy on the pocket. But the good thing is, there's always help around the corner if you know where to look. There are many companies that will help you move your boxes from your old home to a new one, but here are some websites and mobile apps that might also come in handy.
TIPTAPP (Mobile Application) - Don't have a car to drive to NSR's recycling facility? Or don't have the time to get rid of things? Or you have things that you simply just need out of the way? There's an app for that and it's called TipTapp. Through this app, you can get connected with thousands of people who can help. Here's how it works - Sign up (for free) and create your advertisement. You decide how much you want to pay for the task. As soon as your ad is published, users will offer help by suggesting time slots. Simply tap on the one that suits you most. You can pay in the app after getting help and don't even have to meet someone who helps you. You can use the app for moving or delivering items, for removal of things or simple giveaways.

BORTSKÅNES.SE (Website) - Donate your clothes, furniture and other items you don't need. This website (for all of Sweden) works like a bulletin board. Search in a category or in a geographical location in Sweden. Looking for something, furniture maybe? You might just find it here. Visit https://www.bortskankes.se/
Bortskänkes i Skåne (Facebook Group) - Here is another useful group to be a part of. Works just like the website, but on Facebook. Give away things you don't need. Do not advertise anything with a cost. Join the group here - https://www.facebook.com/groups/462431503848466/
Blocket (Tip for IKEA members) - You must be already familiar with Blocket, a very common online market place for second-hand goods. Placing an ad requires payment of fees, depending on what you are selling and for how long you want the ad to run. But here's a tip. If you are an IKEA Family member, you can advertise on Blocket for free for your IKEA products. Follow this link to know more - https://ww8.ikea.com/se/sv/ext/ikea-family/blocket
TRADERA - Another website frequently visited by many. You can use Tradera to buy and sell second-hand goods online. Tradera was originally based on an auction model, but now one can purchase through both auctions and fixed cost selling. Visit www.tradera.se
KARMA/RESQ - No time to cook in between moving and eating out too expensive? Try out these apps on which you can rescue surplus foods. Used by many restaurants and cafes in Helsingborg to sell extra food at discounted prices. Download the apps, follow the restaurants and get push notifications whenever there is food sold near you. Peak time is usually right after lunch or dinner.
