Drömljus 2026: Lights, Art, and Winter Walks in Helsingborg

From 6–14 February, Helsingborg’s city center will glow with light installations, performances, and evening activities as part of Drömljus — a free winter festival organised by the city.

Every night from 17:00 to 22:00, you can walk through glowing streets, see light art and projections, catch a fire show or parade, or stop by one of the pop-up performances or workshops.

Here's a look at some highlights — and a few things to know before you head out. You can find the entire calendar on the Drömljus calendar

🟡 It all starts at Kungstorget

6 Feb at 17:00
Drömljus opens with live music, lights, and a short ceremony at Kungstorget. Helsingborgs Motettkör will perform, and circus director Trolle Rhodin will host the event. The mayor will press a big red button to light up the Svea building and officially start the festival.

🥁 Marching music and glow

7 & 13 Feb at 19:30
The Helsingborg Drumcorps brings energy (and volume) to the streets with a light-filled parade and mini concert.

  • 7 Feb: From Mäster Palms plats to Sundstorget

  • 13 Feb: From Sundstorget to Mäster Palms plats
Concerts start around 20:00 after each march.

🔥 Fire show by Kärnan

13 Feb at 19:00 & 14 Feb at 18:30
Gycklargruppen TRiX puts on a short, high-energy fire performance by Kärnan. It’s called Vinterglöd, and it mixes fire juggling, dance, and movement.

🎨 Make your own lantern

12 Feb at Dunkers kulturhus | 17:00–20:00
Want to take part in the lantern parade? Join a free workshop to make your own lantern. All materials are provided.
Spots are limited — you need to sign up in advance. Kids under 15 must come with an adult.

🏮 Lantern Parade

14 Feb at 18:00 (gather at 17:30)
The parade starts at Gustav Adolfs torg and winds through the city to Stortorget. You can walk along and carry your lantern, or just come and watch.

🎪 Cirkus at Rådhustorget

8, 12 & 13 Feb | Shows at 18:00 & 19:00
ViBo Circus Community, founded by two artists from Ukraine, will perform a short show with acrobatics and dance. Each show is about 20 minutes and takes place at Rådhustorget.

🚶 Free guided walks

8–13 Feb | 17:00 & 18:30
You can also join a free guided walk through the city to learn more about the installations — and a bit of Helsingborg’s history. Each walk is about 2 hours and starts outside Dunkers.
👉 You need to book in advance (max 15 people per group).

🎤 Grand finale
