Where to find Helsingborg souvenirs — from quick magnets to the really good stuff

Whether you're in town for a couple of days or a few hours between meetings, you'll probably want to bring something home. A keychain for your desk. A bag of something edible for the people who watered your plants. A "look what I found" gift that feels actually from here, not just from a tourist shelf.

Here's where I'd send a friend.

If you've got 30 minutes

Souvenir Store (Kullagatan 54) — Your classic stop. Magnets, mugs, Dala horses, Helsingborg-branded everything. They've also got special NATO x Helsingborg pins on right now, which feel like a nice little time capsule of this week.

Dunkers Kulturhus Shop (Kungsgatan 11) — More curated and design-led. Prints, homeware, art books, the kind of thing you'd actually keep on your shelf. Good if you want something that doesn't shout "souvenir."

Pressbyrån (Helsingborg Central Station + Stortorget) — For when your train leaves in eleven minutes and you forgot to buy anything for your sister. Small knick-knacks, Swedish candy, postcards. Not glamorous, but it gets the job done.

Beyond the magnets

If you want something more local than local, Helsingborg has two homegrown legends:

Zoéga's coffee — Roasted right here in Helsingborg since 1886. The dark, smoky blends are a Swedish kitchen staple. You can pick up a bag at any grocery store (ICA, Coop, Hemköp), or visit Café 1886 at Drottninggatan 30 for the full experience — coffee, cardamom buns, and the smell of roasting beans drifting out onto the street.

Lakritsfabriken — Helsingborg's own licorice factory, and honestly some of the best licorice you'll find anywhere. Salty, sweet, chocolate-covered, the lot. Their shop is right at Helsingborg Central Station, so you can grab a box on your way to the train.

Both travel well. Both feel like the city.

A few other ideas worth bringing home

  • Swedish design bits from Dunkers or the small shops along Kullagatan — ceramics, candle holders, textiles in that very calm Scandinavian palette.

  • A really good chocolate bar from Choklad och Konfektyr, a small chocolatier in town.

Hope this helps! I hope you buy the magnet if you want. But also buy the coffee. And the licorice. A little piece of what I call home!

Tack för besöket. 💙
