Skånetrafiken releases 'Safety line'

On Monday, November 2, 2020, Skånetrafiken launched a new telephone line for commuters who might experience safety and security concerns while travelling in trains or buses in Skåne. With this line, which is going to be a test project for a few months, Skånetrafiken aims to work towards creating a safer travel experience for its customers.

What is the number and what are its timings?

'TRYGGHETSLINJEN' (SAFETY LINE) - 0771878787 which will be open 24 hours a day, all year round (Save this number!)

What can I use this for?

You can use this line if you experience something that makes you feel unsafe or insecure when you travel by train or bus in Skåne.  You can also use this line for the following

📞 You are standing alone while waiting for a bus or train or going home from the stop and do not feel safe.

📞 You see someone scribbling, vandalizing in the bus or train

📞 If there is a quarrel with you or another traveller and there is a feeling of threat.

Please remember if the situation is very serious or life-threatening. Contact the police on 112.

This line is a test project and will be evaluated in 2021. The evaluation will include measuring how many calls were made to the line and what cases were handled, and the measures are taken to help the travellers calling on the line.
