Tryckeriet - The former location that held the HD printing press is Helsingborg’s new activity house and there is a LOT happening there. Activities for all ages - fun and games, check out the list below to know more.
When it all started, Tryckeriet opened it’s doors to the public and had a session on what activities could be held there. More than 200 people showed up and with these activities planned, this is only the beginning.
The venue is quite large and can hold around 500 people in the main area.
Evenings for girls - Every Tuesday between 5 pm and 8 pm, girls between the ages 13-16 can come and hang out at Tryckeriet with other girls. This is the time and space for young girls to meet each other and decide what they want to do. To make is a safe experience, there is also a pick-up and drop option available. Ludo Training - Ludo is a form of training where you fence with lightsabers - Yes, just like in Starwars!! The activity is free and requires no registration. Takes place every Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm for ages 12 and above.
Cosplay workshop - Cosplay which originated in Japan is the practice of dressing up as a character especially from the Japanese genres of manga or anime. Quite a global hobby, there are now international conventions on cosplay and this is quite a popular subculture activity. And it is now in Tryckeriet. Every Wednesday from 3 pm to 9 pm for ages 13 and above, there will be a creative cosplay workshop. You can come and fix your cosplay costume or create a new one. There are tools, materials and creative members of the Tryckeriet team available for support. But do also bring your own material!! This is a free and drop-in workshop.
Dance workshops - Learn different dance styles and up your choreography skills! Every Wednesday from 4 pm to 6 pm for ages 15-25. Free and drop-in sessions.
Breakdance workshops - Learn new moves at the breakdance workshops! This one is for all ages, is free and a drop-in session. Every Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Board Games - Dungeons and dragons, Exploding Kittens, Betrayal at House on the hill and much more - for all you board game lovers out there. The activity is free and drop-in for ages 13 and above. Every Friday from 5 pm - 9 pm.
Senior Shake - Music and dance! Every Friday (till November 30) from 09:45 am to 10:30. The movements are customized so that one can choose to sit or stand. There are several places in the city where the senior shake takes place.
