Sending Christmas post? Key dates by Postnord

Have you already sent in your Christmas post? If not, you still have a few days to go to make sure your greetings reach on time. Postnord predicted online Christmas trade to have a sales of SEK 10.6 billion (an increase of 26 per cent from last year). Online deliveries are high, so you should be prepared for longer delivery times.


Here are a few tips by Postnord for last dates and labelling of your packages.


IMPORTANT DATES:


  • The final date to send Christmas cards within Sweden (with a Christmas stamp) to arrive before Christmas is December 16th. But if you use regular domestic stamps, or send via the digital service Riktiga Vykort, the last day is December 21st.

  • Remember to send out packages in good time. The last date for domestic packages to be sent is December 21st.

  • Foreign letters and shipments within the EU should be sent no later than December 11th to arrive before Christmas.

  • Foreign letters and shipments outside the EU should be sent no later than December 7th to arrive before Christmas.
